Tin Ka Ping Foundation-Sponsored Training Program for Principals of Western Rural Primary and Middle Schools: 2023’s First Program Starts

On the morning of November 13, the first training program in 2023 for principals of primary and middle schools in western rural areas sponsored by the Tin Ka Ping Foundation kicked off at NAEA. Fan Pingjun, NAEA Vice President, Shu Gangbo, Deputy Director-General of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs of the MOE, and Siu Hoi Ting, Deputy Chief Executive of Tin Ka Ping Foundation, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

This program seeks to strengthen the academic and administrative competencies of primary and middle school principals in western rural regions, cultivating pioneers capable of delivering high quality education and driving rural education reform and development. Since 2014, the program has trained more than 3,800 eligible principals. Remaining true to Mr. Tin Ka Ping 's founding ethos of benefiting the society and the nation via education philanthropy, the foundation focuses on supporting education, refining learners' virtues, and championing China's distinguished traditional heritage.

A total of 258 participants, including 250 primary and middle school principals and secretaries from 14 western provinces and 8 representatives of principals from primary and middle schools at Dabu County in the city of Meizhou, Guangdong, Mr. Tin Ka Ping’s hometown, are to complete this 12-day learning and exchange program at the NAEA.
