The First On-site Seminar for Middle-levelManagers from Higher Education Institutions commenced on October 23, 2023. NAEA Vice President Yu Jingtian attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech.

Yu pointed out that NAEA’s extensive experience in education leadership training had revealed the importance of on-site learning. He also recognized the limitations of existing training programs, which often failed to fully satisfy the need for in-depth in-field training. Therefore, NAEA and base institutions conducted detailed preparatory work and designed this seminar, hoping to empower trainees not only as learners, but also as hands-on contributors to reforms and practice.

The seminar takes a deep dive into new concepts, new visions and new strategies regarding higher education reform and development. It aims to promote systematic thinking, overall planning, effective implementation of reforms, and management wisdom. The 4-week training includes 2 weeks of in-depth on-site practical training at the base institutions. 45 trainees from 21 higher education institutions across China participate in this program.
