LEAD2 Second Series on University Governance and Academic Leadership took place at Silesian University of Technology in Poland and University of Vienna in Austria from Oct 23rd to 31st, 2019. About 40 delegates from 15 HEIs in China and Europe attended the events. They exchanged views on the theme of "Academic Ranking and University Governance" and "Governance of Doctoral Education". Zhu Baojiang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of NAEA, led a delegation to attend the workshops.

Zhu Baojiang delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. He reviewed the background of LEADIIand summarized the first series of LEAD 2 workshops held at NAEA in June 2019. Zhu also introduced the construction of double-first class universities and doctoral education in China.

Representatives from Beijing Normal University, Tongji University, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Guangxi Normal University and Yunnan Normal University, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shaanxi Technical College of Finance and Economics, Université Libre de Bruxelles, University of Vienna, Industrial University of Silesia, Middle East Technical University and University of New Lisbon attended the events.(Chinese version by Li Qiang, Office for International Cooperation, NAEA; English version by Li Qiang & Yao Jinling Office for International Cooperation, NAEA)
